What's it like at the Gathering?
We are a community of believers, of all ages. We will help you feel welcome, we love to worship Jesus, we love to study and apply God's word, and we enjoy doing life together.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Please feel free to dress casually and comfortably, you will fit right in.
Q: What is the music like?
A: We are led by a worship team who seeks to honor God. The worship consists of contemporary songs as well as some of the great hymns.
Q: What is the service like?
A: We begin with a time of worship followed by a study of God's word. Pastor Gene is faithful to accurately teach God's word in a manner that can be understood and applied.
Q: Will I be identified in any way?
A: We promise not to point you out. We hope that you feel welcomed as the church family casually says hello to our guests.
In order for us to be ready for our guests, we would ask you to fill out the form below.
We will not share your information. We simply want to know that you are coming so that we can be looking for you. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.
"Wonderful, caring, friendly people! Awesome children's workers! A pastor who preaches The Bible unapologetically with wisdom and humor and a Pastor's wife who is attentive, kind, and loving to everyone! No judgement here! A great place to do life together!"

The Gathering at 840 is the culmination of a vision that began over 12 years ago. It started with a conversation between our Pastor, Gene Mims, and a friend of his who happened to be a builder.
The conversation centered on the builder's challenge to Gene to start a church in the area near Page High School. He explained that hundreds of homes would be built and thousands of people would live in the area in just a few short years. Gene took this conversation to heart but did not feel that the timing was right–nor that the Lord was calling him to start at church at this point–even after the friend offered thirty-seven acres of land for a church site!
A few years passed and the builder once again challenged Gene to start a church in the area. This time, he showed Gene a sixty-eight acre tract of land near Page High School that might be for sale very soon. It appeared to be a perfect church site but once again, the timing was not right.
Fast forward to 2016.
After pastoring a Nashville church for twelve years, the Lord gave Gene (among others on his team) a vision to start a new church. After praying and planning for over a year–they now felt it was in the Lord's timing to move forward.
The Gathering at 840 is a community of believers inviting others to follow Christ with us.
